Susan has over 25 years of experience in the AEC industry. She joined Perry to assist with the growth that has occurred over the past 18 months, as well as to position the firm for continued growth that has resulted from Perry’s solid reputation in the industry. As COO, she is creating and implementing short and long-term strategic goals, assisting with efforts to put additional infrastructure in place, and increasing the company’s recruiting and branding efforts.
Prior to joining Perry Associates, she held the role of COO at Pinck & Co., a leading real estate development advisory and project management services firm, where she was instrumental in optimizing and enhancing the infrastructure, increasing the client base, enhancing profitability, and expanding its geographical reach. She led the firm’s day-to-day business operations including technology, finance, human resources, marketing, and administration – overseeing an IT consulting firm in the development and implementation of new technology infrastructure across the organization. Prior to joining Pinck, she ran her own firm, The Business Side, an operations and human resources consulting firm that worked with founders/executives in various sectors to launch their start-ups and implement long-range growth strategies. She also spent seven years as the Vice President of Administration for Payton Construction.
She holds an MBA and a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from Simmons University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Bentley University, as well as a Certificate in Human Resources, from Bentley. She served on the Board of Directors for the Simmons College School of Management Alumnae Association for three years, as COO, Treasurer/Clerk, and Associate Board Member. As an active member of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, she was nominated for a Pinnacle Award for Achievement in Management. She was also honored by the Society of Marketing Professional Services with a Marketing Communications Award, which recognizes individuals and teams who create outstanding communications vehicles for architectural, engineering, design, and construction firms. She is a volunteer mentor with Dress for Success of Western Massachusetts, where she devotes time each month working with her mentee, helping her remain focused on her career goals, and empowering her to succeed.
